'A Bright Pink Future' Selected as a finalist in the Publisher's Cup International Art Prize 2011Cricket is my favourite sport and I love the way that it is moving with the times .. from Test to One Day to Twenty20. Adopting the pink ball is yet another mark of the idiom ‘there’s nothing so constant as change’. I’m also a big fan of the highly successful charity associated with Australian cricket: the McGrath Foundation. Happily for the painting, the charity’s main symbol is the pink ribbon which tied in rather nicely. Like the pink ball the charity seeks to offer a metaphorically brighter future for cancer sufferers. |
